Well it is another year and therefore time for another trip. This year Susan and I will be heading down the coast to San Francisco. We plan on sailing around the bay, seeing some sights such as Angel Island, Pier 39, Emeryville, possibly sail over to the Giants ball park and take in a game. Then there is also the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers to visit (it may be to hot going up into the central valley, we will see).

After returning from our last trip I had a very long list of things to repair, replace, change, make better, or just build to make things better for us and the boat. It is interesting how a list with a finite number of to do's seems to be infinitely long. I believe that most of the jobs have been completed as of writing this, but I know that will not last very long, for there is always something that comes up.

Charleston Marina, Oregon |
Susan has cooked and frozen many dinners in anticipation for the trip. Final food prep will be one or two days before leaving. We just loaded the dinghy and the outboard engine on the boat today. Still need to top up the fuel tank and the fresh water tank. Mike, a friend of ours, who has a boat in the marina, is going to accompany us down the coast to San Francisco. It will be nice to have the extra help during the night watches. He is planning to take his boat down to Mexico this fall. We are about a week away from leaving and the long range weather forecast looks good. We are hoping it will stay that way. Till later.
