Ewin Inlet, Bligh Island, Nootka Sound

It has been one month since we started our journey. Last night and this morning is the first sustained rain and it is just a drizzle. We had considered going ashore this morning to find the reported piles of marble, but I'm not feeling very adventurous so we're just going to get started instead. We did a bit of swinging or bouncing on the chain last night, so the bridle is wrapped around the chain and takes both of us to get it untangled. We are off at 10:00. It is overcast and foggy. Heading out Hisnit Inlet and back Tlupana Channel, we turn southeast into Hanna Channel. There are lots of fishing boats along the shore in these areas. I forgot to mention yesterday how the fish were jumping like stones skipping on the water. Turning southwest down Zuciarte Channel we can see the ocean where we will be venturing tomorrow. As we pass Resolution Cove we set the sails and turn into Ewin Inlet at Bligh Island. We have 3 miles to get to the head where we plan to anchor. Around 12:45 we anchor in a lovely pristine cove all to ourselves. Just after we settle in and take pictures a small motor boat joins us. So far they have been quiet. Today's stats: sea temp 58.1, air temp 60, engine hours 2.5, nautical miles 15.3, total trip miles 782.0, GPS coordinates 49.39.221W / 126.31.221W.
