Quiet night. Slept great.
Pulled up 250 feet of anchor rode at 09:00. It is overcast with a light breeze. We motor out Goose Bay, and across Rivers
Inlet.
QUIET MORNING DEPARTING GOOSE BAY
FITZ HUGH SOUND
Many of the fishing boats are out on the
water. We enjoy the scenery as we pass
through Klaquaek Channel and back out to Fitz Hugh Sound. The cliffs are steep. Next to one island it is 326 feet deep.
COVOY PASSAGE
There is some swell influence coming
in from Queen Charlotte Strait. Tucking
back in at Convoy Passage, this is definitely a convoy of one. Inside Illanie Inlet is Green Island
Anchorage our destination.
GREEN ISLAND ANCHORAGE
This is one of the prettiest
anchorages so far. There is a pair of
eagles to greet us as we set the anchor
in 30 ft. It is early enough to get the
dingy out and go for a ride around Green Island. Engine hours 3.0, nautical miles 19. Our GPS coordinates: 51◦38.531 N, 127◦50.270
W. Despite a second boat here, we like
this anchorage and would stay another day if the weather turns bad.
