We had a quiet, dark night with
heavy rainfall. Even more water is
coming from the waterfalls this morning.
As we leave Simoom Sound, and travel east in Tribune Channel there are
waterfalls all along the way. We have
more rain with which to contend. The
rain takes a break for our stop at spectacular Lacey Falls. After Lacey Falls we duck into Kwatsi Bay for
a look around.

KWATSI BAY WATERFALLS
The water is very green, which we
think may be clogging the water maker filters.
After Bond Sound, Brad spots a whale, and we notice the water has turned
brown. We consider heading up Thompson Sound, but as
we turn in, there is debris everywhere.
It is mostly chips and shredded wood.
There must have been a recent landslide.

SHARING THE DEBRIS
Turning south we inspect the area
next to Gilford Island behind Kumlah Island.
It seems too deep for a good anchorage so we head across the way to
Sargeaunt Passage, a narrow channel running north and south between Viscount
Island and the mainland. We anchor in 40
feet with the current keeping us in position.
Relaxing out on the deck, I notice the air smells like pencil sharpener
shavings. Engine Hours 5.6, Nautical
